  { يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ } [Surat Al-Baqarah: 183] Sabeq Company: Wahai orang-orang yang beriman!  Diwajibkan atas kamu berpuasa  sebagaimana  diwajibkan atas orang sebelum kamu agar kamu bertakwa , Sahih International: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous - Muhsin Khan and Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali: O you who believe!
